Hot Yoga Tips (Awkward Pose)

Awkward pose is all about waking up the thighs, it’s the most important warm up before going into Standing Head to Knee

Special note on Awkward Part One:

Feet, knees, elbows and hands are equal distance (15cm/6in)

Body weight on the heels, lean back as far back as possible

Stomach in, ribcage visible in the mirror

Special note on Awkward Part Two:

Stand up high on the tippy toes

Head and hips leaning back against an imaginary wall

Hips sitting on the chair, never below the chair

Eventually feet should be perpendicular to the floor

Special notes on Awkward Part Three:

Keep the knees together throughout the entire posture

Slide your back down against the wall as you enter the posture, keeping body perpendicular to the floor

Bounce in the end of the posture only if the knees are good to test your balance
