Hot Yoga Tips (Awkward Pose)
Share
Awkward pose is all about waking up the thighs, it’s the most important warm up before going into Standing Head to Knee
Special note on Awkward Part One:
Feet, knees, elbows and hands are equal distance (15cm/6in)
Body weight on the heels, lean back as far back as possible
Stomach in, ribcage visible in the mirror
Special note on Awkward Part Two:
Stand up high on the tippy toes
Head and hips leaning back against an imaginary wall
Hips sitting on the chair, never below the chair
Eventually feet should be perpendicular to the floor
Special notes on Awkward Part Three:
Keep the knees together throughout the entire posture
Slide your back down against the wall as you enter the posture, keeping body perpendicular to the floor
Bounce in the end of the posture only if the knees are good to test your balance
